My Investment Journey
My husband and I started investing in real estate in 2013 with the purchase of our single-family home in Arvada. We lived in that property for 9 years (excelling in the art of delayed gratification) all while improving the property and adding value where it made sense.
In 2022, we purchased a duplex in Wheat Ridge and began renting our single-family home. We house-hacked the duplex (lived in one side while renting the other side) for 3 years until we relocated to New Castle, CO in 2025. Today, we long-term rent (LTR) all 3 doors.
In 2023, we flipped a Denver condo we purchased off-market through a wholesaler. We sold it in 2025.
